Monday Madness

Good evening my passionate readers. I hope you're all feeling the vibe tonight!

This week I'm being challenged by my fearless leader's leader's leader (this challenge goes way up the line) to sell 10 Soy Seduction Candles by this Friday. I can do that, right? You'll help me, won't you? Of course you will....!

This is going to be easy peasy lemon squeezy! Like taking a walk in the park. It'll be a blissful breeze.....

Speaking of 'Blissful Breeze' you have the choice of two wonderful fragrances:

Blissful Breeze ~ exactly what it says on the can, and perfect for massaging on your man!

Plumeria ~ as fragrant and deliciously intoxicating as the Hawaiian flower, this scent is perfect for setting the mood for romance before your man drizzles and massages your body with this skin softening wax.

When it comes to Josie's top sellers this product is on a par with Pure Instinct and Pure Satisfaction! The candle works ridiculously well with the Heart Warming Massager which helps to keep the soy wax soft and pliant ~ unless of course your hot bod is already ablaze!

The Soy Seduction Candle retails at $17.50 or for $21.50 you can get an edible one (cherry, strawberry or vanilla) ~ going from massage to some delectable foreplay has never been tastier. Did I already tell you 65% of massages end in sex.....?

The Heart Warming Massager is $15.50 in case you want one of those too....

Remember, shipping is a minimum of $10 if you get your goodies drop shipped! Shop online at josiebisett.yourpassionconsultant.com or give me call 512.557.8005 and I'll hook you up. Local customers can get a shipping break if you piggy back on my order!

Okay, time to start taking orders - ready, set, GO! If my line is busy taking orders please do try again ;)

A brief history of vibrators

This is a true story.

Once upon a time stressed out house-wives across America were treated by their doctor for a condition known as 'congestion of the genitalia' or 'female hysteria'. The treatment of this condition was a 'hysterical paroxysm of relief' (a medical term for an orgasm) via manual stimulation of the vulva and clitoris. Yes, that's right. The good ol' doc would use his fingers.

I'm not kidding.
In case you're wondering if it actually works, you should try it! An orgasm a day keeps the doctor away!

This was all well and good, but those poor old doctors' hands would get very tired. Eventually, in the late 1800s - after centuries of medical hand 'jobs' - the first motorized vibrator was invented  for doctors to treat hysteria patients more quickly and efficiently without getting their hands dirty.

In 1902 Hamilton Beach ~ those same guys who designed my wonderful coffee maker ~ were the first company to patent the electric vibrator in America making it available for the general public. Vibrator ads soon became common in everyday womens mags like Needlecraft and the Woman's Home Companion.

It wasn't until these household vibrators popped up in very early porn movies in the 1920s, that the real hysteria set in. How had everyone missed the fact that this was simply masturbation?

"Now, hang on a minute Doris..... you let Dr. Phil Yupright do 'what' with your lady bits?"

A decade later and these ads were gone. Suddenly 'hysteria' a centuries old recognized medical condition noted as early as 200AD disappeared from medical books all together.

Funny that.

Vibrators in the home (disguised as beauty products or weight loss implements) only grew in popularity, until finally, in the late 1960s, they appeared in a sex shop.

Outrageous, I know.

As recent as the 90s, anti-obscenity laws were passed in states such as Alabama, Massachusetts, Louisiana, Texas, and Virginia banning the distribution of "any device designed or marketed as useful primarily for the stimulation of human genital organs for anything of pecuniary value."

In Texas these laws were put to the test in 2006, when a Texas Passion Parties Consultant, went on trial for selling sex toys. Passion Parties covered her legal fees and eventually the case was dismissed. It was a victory for women everywhere. Who is anybody to tell us what we can or can't do in the privacy of our bedrooms?

In 2008 a US Federal Appeals court ruled that banning sex toys violated the Constitution's Fourth Amendment on the right to privacy.

Thank the Lord for that.

But even today Texas vibrators must be sold as 'novelty' items - as opposed to 'medical devices' designed for stimulating the genitals. According to the state's obscenity code (still in existence today), an obscene device is a simulated sexual organ or item designed to stimulate the genitals. It specifically refers to dildos, vibrators, and vaginal shaped toys.

It's amazing to me that our own body parts can be classed as obscene.

Much more proper to use this medical monstrosity with the potential of
blowing up (not in a good way) your vagina if it were to malfunction!!!
I'm just relieved Texas is so forward thinking. Apparently in Alabama you're only allowed to have one if you have a doctors note.

Blogging for Business

Last night I had a beer with a friend and we talked shop. See, my friend is in Direct Sales just like me. Only it's not all all 'just' like me ~ the obvious difference is she doesn't sell adult sex toys to her friends. Another is that she makes more money in one sale than I do selling a hundred battery operated toys. I didn't say she makes more money, period. My friend is a loan officer and procuring one loan is more of a process than selling a single vibrator.

Ultimately though, how we put ourselves 'out there' in order to build a strong and wide customer base is one and the same thing. The secret of ANY business' success in today's Social Media driven society is effective social networking and search engine optimization.

Over the last 18 months of amateur blogging I've become somewhat Google savvy. I've stumbled upon (no pun intended) a few tips for building page rank and I at least know what SEO stands for. But it didn't really matter on Go Momma. Page hits were merely a way to measure my popularity ~ a boost to my ego if you will. I wasn't a business blogger until now. Suddenly increasing my page ranking and statistics is of great import. It is crucial to the success of my Passion Parties business. Page hits mean potential clients, which means more parties on the books and growth of my team.

If I want customers to find me, first Mr Google has to like me. In my optimal business world, typing keywords such as Josie Bisett, Passion Parties, vibrator or adult sex toy party into Google should lead potential clients straight to me. My links should be at the top of that first results page.

I don't have a very common name but I do have to compete with a Hollywood actress. Not really fair. In spite of the spelling difference (only one 'S' in Bisett folks!) there are a million more people searching for Josie B the Melrose Place actress than Josie B the Passion Parties consultant. One day, Miss Bissett.... One day..!

My friend and I Googled my name last night, and once we'd gotten around the 'only one 's' in Bisett issue' there I was, right on the first page. I'm mightily chuffed about that. However, Feel the Vibe and Passion Parties by Josie were nowhere to be seen. Surprisingly my (only ever used once when I created it) Pinterest profile topped the ranks, followed by (sporadically used) Twitter, and only then my Go Momma blog! No sign of (obsessively used) Facebook or LinkedIn... huh!?

I obviously have some work to do on my Social Media platforms.

The exercise gave me great food for thought. You may notice a slight shift in my blogging as I flagrantly and shamelessly work towards a higher page ranking and better SEO. Here are two new blogging goals:

1. Keep posts between 300-500 words.
2. Use keywords and phrases like 'Vibrators' and 'Passion Parties by Josie' often.

The perks of 'passion' retail ~ product research.

One of the best things about being a Passion Parties consultant is the product research.

"Does it work?" is the first question most customers will want to know.

Customer: "Of course she's going to say "YES!" no matter what, right... after all she's a salesperson, she has an agenda... doesn't she?"

This time the customer is only half right. I do have an agenda. But that agenda is cleverer and more sustainable than anything achievable with a bare faced lie. I only speak the truth and I will only let you buy products I believe are right for you. Period. I want you to fall in love with your passion products. I need you to trust in me and my integrity. Only then will my business thrive. My agenda is that you invest a lifetime of custom into Passion Parties by Josie.

I see myself as offering a service to women as opposed to being a 'seller'. It is my job to assist you in acquiring the most affordable product to suit your needs, whether that be a $6 spend or a $199, and in spite of the fun I have at my parties I take my job very seriously. It doesn't matter to me what you spend as long as you go away happy. I won't try to upsell unless I truly believe the higher priced item suits your needs better.

In most cases price does reflect quality (but not all).

I've spent years of accumulating cheap apothecary items and bargain basement underwear. But right now I'd gladly replace 10 badly fitting bras for just one that holds my girls perfectly. I'm finally able to realize the value in spending good money on quality items. In my formative years I watched my mum display posh gifted bath products. They were too good to actually 'waste'. How ironic? Instead we'd bathe in $1 products procured from the miscellaneous baskets at the outdoor market. Our cabinets and shelves were jam-packed with these bottled at various stages of empty.

These frugal traits are hereditary. Even when you've made the change it's hard to break a bad habit.

I never 'display' fancy gifted products on our bathroom shelves. Not using them would be the real waste. But I've only come so far. I once caught the husband shampooing hair in said quality item and I was furious that he was 'wasting' my precious stash. He was hurt that I wanted him to use the cheap products. I remember fuming inwardly at the waste ~ what did he need my fancy shampoo for? I'm ashamed to say it took me a few years to figure out the answer to this question. If I'm worth spoiling with luxurious bath product, surely he is too. What's good for the goose....

He couldn't believe his luck when I handed him his own Passion Parties Soft & Silky duo for shaving. "Are you sure?" he asked a little too tentatively. "Don't you want to sell these?" He's adorable, isn't he? I don't blame him for not fully trusting my generosity. I've come a long way since the shampoo incident. Of course he deserves the best, but I would be lying if I said there aren't other passion perks to having my man's chin silky soft.

To receive a FREE 1oz sample of Soft & Silky Shaving Creme just complete the following 3 steps:

1. Leave a comment below
2. 'LIKE' my Facebook page

Take your passion and make it happen.... Then write a blog about it!

This isn't my first blog. Neither is it my only blog, although I haven't blogged elsewhere for over a month now. Two of my sites haven't even been touched for a year. I know that for sure because my baby girl turns one in a couple of days and, after she was born, I only had time for 'Go Momma!'. I even set up an anonymous WordPress blog for those posts that I deemed unsuitable for my family and friends to read ~ for one reason or another. That blog is still a 'virgin'. It turned out that blogging lost a lot of appeal when I knew from the upshot that no one would be reading it.

So that makes Feel the Vibe blog #5.

I used to be what could only be described as an avid blogger. I would pump out a new story ~ usually about my kids ~ daily, and sometimes even twice a day if I was stranded for any length of time on the couch with a baby on my breast. A blogging friend dubbed me the 'cranker'. He imagined me like a journalist furiously typing away in a valiant effort to reach a deadline, with friction smoke billowing out of my typewriter wheel as I cranked away! I was proud of that nickname. But then something I didn't expect happened. I burnt out.

Earlier this year I decided to take a blogging break during lent. I could reassess the time I was investing in blogging and determine whether there was a more productive or profitable use of my time. I thought I might compile my stories into an eBook. But the temptation to blog was too great and I broke 'lent' to write a funny blog about Texas laws on vibrators. After some very interesting research into the subject I found myself signing up as a Passion Parties consultant.

I didn't see the end of my writing 'career' coming until I had already replaced whatever void blogging had been filling in my life. It wasn't a permanent fix. I'd just slapped a band-aid on it. My band-aid of choice was Facebook pages. First 'Go Momma!' and soon after 'Feel the Vibe'.

My day job is being a full-time mother or stay-at-home-mother as we say in the business. I do this out of choice. I opted to leave a promising oilfield career to crawl around on the floor all day with my rug-rats. And for the most part I love what I do. I also love chocolate but if I had it rammed down my throat 24/7 I might start to look for another form of stimulation.

I also love to write, and that's why a mommy blog worked for me. It was a combination of my two passions. 'Go Momma!' originally transpired from my need to build a writer's portfolio in view of a writing career. You might not know this but no one ever got rich off blogging (except maybe Single Dad Laughing). If I was going to be taking that much time away from my family it needed to be a paying gig. Ad-sense wages amounting to $5/month weren't really cutting it. A part time job that might actually pay some bills was what was required here, and Passion Parties is my perfect solution.

Any regular reader of 'Go Momma!' can vouch for my frequent digression into the realms of 'passion' or lack thereof as a mommy of three babies. Without going into any sordid details, my own path to sexual enlightenment has been quite a journey, with many kinks along the way. Having shared stories with women over the years I'm convinced that companies like Passion Parties and what we stand for are imperative to the survival of a free modern day marriage. We do a great service to women all across the Americas and are saving relationships as I write. In four short months I already have testimonials supporting this.

I don't have a history in direct sails ~ unless you want to count my Saturdays as a teen selling Clark's shoes. I hated sales. I hated hovering near the entrance and greeting the customer. I felt like a lurker waiting to pounce on my prey before sucking his/her pockets dry. It's taken me until now to realize I had missed the point. I guess I just wasn't that passionate about shoes!

Since creating Passion Parties by Josie I've managed to squeeze in a 'Go Momma!' blog here and there. And though many of my kids' capers have been captured on Facebook most of our stories are recorded only in memory ~ the good old fashioned way. I've wanted to blog terribly but there are only so many hours in a day. Like the kids and Daddy, Momma has a limited amount of 'screen' time, and with a new business in the works ~ most of that time is pumped into promoting Passion Parties by Josie. I'm ambitious and determined to make this a success, and I'm not afraid of a little hard work. I am afraid of neglecting my kids though.

There may not be enough room in my life for passionate mommy blogging at the moment, however, a passionate blog that promotes my passion business?? Maybe I really can have it all!

WARNING: This blog may contain content of an adult nature.

Hi everyone! I'm ecstatic you stopped by to read my very first blog post in Feel the Vibe, and a little amazed you have come this far - having not been deterred by Blogger's *adult content* warning page! Even the bravest of surfers may be deterred by that bold red warning bar. I assure you beautiful breasts and penises will never pop-up and surprise you. Dang it ~ have I already lost a few more of you? Was it because I uttered the words 'breast' and 'penises'? I'm sorry about that - that we lost you I mean. Those words are the vernacular form and very necessary. If however you were hoping to see breasts and penises, well - you probably need to redefine your search engine words. It is only prudent that I warn you now that you may on occasion get a sneak peek of some fancy electronic device; however, I will endeavor to give you fair warning before you 'scroll down' into such risque territory.

I categorized this page as *adult* as Feel the Vibe is a blog about the growth of my Passion Parties business. I am in the business of sexually educating women and enhancing sexual relationships. As most of you are aware, sex can be a singular activity or an activity for consenting adults. A certain level of sexual awareness is often reached and explored way too early ~ during adolescence. Education at this level is crucial for protecting our children but better left to a parent or loved one. This page is not intended for adolescent readers. As a Passion Parties consultant, my top priority is to help other adult women, and by doing so, I am also helping their current or future partner(s), male or female.

Most adult women regularly have sex, but they don't all enjoy sex. Practice does not mean perfect and notches on the bedposts or vast bedroom experience does not necessarily equate to a high number of orgasms. Especially for women. Some women enjoy sex 'enough' but they don't want sex as much as their man does. Some women have trouble relaxing, or don't have enough time to 'get there' and others have sadly never reached the elusive big 'O'.

Seriously.

Then, there are ladies who have no trouble reaching a single climax, but that little twinge of pleasure just doesn't compare to the toe curling, mind blowing, earth shattering full body shudders of ecstasy that they have read about in a Lora Leigh novel.

I am here to assure all women there IS a place in their lives for great (or even greater) sexual pleasure. You do have the time and you owe it to yourself to be climaxing often, alone or with a partner. Sexual knowledge and bodily self awareness is sexy. If your man likes sex and would like more of it (does a monkey like bananas?), then believe me, one day very soon he will thank me.
